Pool decks suffer regular abuse from pool chemicals, wet feet tracking dirt and plant material, and a perpetual exposure to the elements. These can leave your deck looking less-than-relaxing while you are trying to enjoy your pool.
The range of materials that pool decks are constructed from results in a range of techniques. For concrete pool decks, our power washing processes would be similar to those used for driveways and sidewalks in order to ensure a cleaning that removes mildew spores and other absorbed contaminants without damaging the surface through excessive pressure. Plastics and other materials can withstand higher pressure cleaning, but still may require chemical cleaning treatments to remove rust stains from metal pool railings or stairs.
For wooden pool decks, we use a process similar to dock cleaning that uses no pressure. Instead, we use chemical cleaning to ensure a thorough clean that gets rid of all dirt and mildew but does not damage the wood. High pressure on wood tears up the small fibers, creating a fuzzy appearance that cannot be fixed. Poorly done pressure cleaning can, over time, even result in splintering wood. Splinters are the last thing anyone wants to have poolside!
Regardless of the process required by your pool deck’s construction, we take meticulous care to make sure that your deck gets a thorough cleaning without any consequences. We go out of our way to guarantee that none of the power washing run-off or chemical agents will land in your pool or harm your grass or plants. At OCD Power Cleaning, we want to make sure you can get back to swimming as soon as you would like, with a sparkling deck and no complications.
